Childcare

Care and education of children and youth is one of the first apostolates of our Mother Foundress.  Here in Canada we continue that apostolate through establishments of Childcare facilities and elementary schools, and through youth activities like choir and youth activities.

The Sick and Elderly

The  care for the sick and elderly are among the first apostolates of our Mother Foundress. It is one of the apostolates we continue to this day. Here in Canada we visit the sick and the elderly and give them opportunity to receive  the Body of Christ and to coordinate for them to receive the Sacraments needed.

Family and Sacrament

Support and guidance for Families and the promotion of the Sacramental aspect of marriage is part of what we do.  We believe that, now more than ever, God has to be the centre of each family and the unitive factor of the union between a man and a woman.

Pastoral Works

The Liturgy, Catechesis and Pastoral collaboration are all part of the spiritual works of mercy.  The understanding of our faith is key to better our relationship with God and His Body the Church.

Project Fundraising Campaign

We, the Sisters of the Sacred Heart, in Summerside, PEI have embarked on a project to build a new learning center that will create 60 spaces.  This is because we recognize the urgent need for childcare in the community.

To do this, we are reaching out to the wider community, for support in making this vision a reality. Construction will begin as soon as we have sufficient funds to do so.

As we embark on this endeavor, we are reminded of St. Joseph, the carpenter, patron saint of workers and families. Imagine him, with his toolbox in hand, ready to lend his skills and blessing to this project. Just as he provided a loving home for Jesus, we aim to create a nurturing space for the children of Summerside and surrounding areas. Would you answer his call to join us in this sacred task?

With St. Joseph as our guide, and your generous support, we can build a strong foundation for the future of our children and our community.

Those who are inspired to help us and would like to send us a donation may do so by sending it either through interact: sacredheartpei@gmail.com or writing a cheque to:  Sisters of the Sacred Heart  403 Granville St.Summerside, PEI  C1N 3C4

Any donation is much appreciated.  Receipt will be issued for your Tax purposes.
